| Posted: 21 Nov 2015 11:21 AM PST Tonight at 7:30 PM ET, The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will be hosting the Eagles of Boston College in their 7th Shamrock Series football game. Team #127 will take the field at iconic Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, with this being a home game for the Irish. The Shamrock Series is Notre Dame’s home-away-from-home game, which began in 2009 in San Antonio. The series went on to New York in 2010, Washington, D.C. in 2011, Chicago in 2012, Dallas in 2013, and Indianapolis in 2014. We are so excited to partner with the City of Boston and the Boston Red Sox organization for 2015. In 2016, the Irish will head back to San Antonio. In addition to the events surrounding a Shamrock Series game, the venues in which these games are played are a popular draw. The Irish have competed in the Alamodome (Alamo Bowl), Yankee Stadium (New York Yankees), FedEx Field (Washington Redskins), Soldier Field (Chicago Bears), AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys), and Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis Colts). We are excited to be able add Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox) to this list of exciting Shamrock Series games. Gates open at 5:30PM |
