Alison Thigpen appointed Director of Game Day Posted: 01 Jul 2018 01:17 PM PDT The Office of Campus Safety & Event Management is pleased to announce that Alison Thigpen has been appointed the Director of Game Day Operations, effective July 1, 2018. Alison has served as an Assistant Band Director at Notre Dame for the past 11 years. In this role, she coordinated the planning and execution of large-scale events involving the Band, including Shamrock Series games, bowl games, and annual domestic and international concert tours, which took the Band to six continents. In addition, Alison assisted with the administration of the band program in the areas of communications, operations, and recruiting, and taught music courses and ensembles. Alison also served as the Band's liaison to ROTC, coordinating the timing of 15 pregame flyovers over Notre Dame Stadium between 2011-2017. During her time with the Band, the Band of the Fighting Irish was the recipient of the Sudler Trophy, considered the Heisman Trophy for college marching bands. Alison is a graduate from the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, and she has also earned her Masters degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Alison currently resides in Mishawaka and is active in her church, neighborhood, and THRIVE! It's July and 2 months until 2018 home opener! Posted: 01 Jul 2018 06:25 AM PDT It's July..... and the countdown continues for the Fighting Irish to return to Notre Dame Stadium. Only 2 months until the 2018 season home opener in South Bend on September 1st! Our team is busy planning for an exciting season and we cannot wait to share it with you! Until then, if you're planning to visit campus for a game, be sure to make your arrangements early. To help you plan your visit to Notre Dame, you can find information on the travel options here. On Campus As you plan your trip, remember that we have multiple events happening around campus on Football Fridays including free Stadium Tunnel Tours, the Pep Rally, as well as faith, service, arts, and athletics events. You won't want to miss everything that Notre Dame has to offer on a home game weekend! Be sure to follow our Twitter for additional information. Parking, tickets, tailgating, dining, maps, stadium policies, and more can be found here on our website!  Please note that effective, September 1st, Notre Dame will implement a Clear Bag Policy for all reserve-ticketed events at Notre Dame Stadium, as well as Corbett Family Hall, O'Neill Hall, and Duncan Student Center during home games and select events, Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center, and the Compton Family Ice Arena.
