Hot Weather Advisory for Friday's Soccer Game

The South Bend area is under an Excessive Heat Watch from Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening.  In preparation for Fridays's Liverpool FC vs. Borussia Dortmund game at Notre Dame Stadium, please take note of the following efforts that will help ensure your visit to campus is safe and enjoyable:

  • Guests will be permitted to bring unopened, sealed water bottles in to the stadium; opened bottles of any kind or other drinking containers will not be permitted.

  • In addition to water for purchase, water filling stations and water fountains will be available throughout the concourse

  • The Joyce Center will be open until 8:30 pm (Gates 1, 2, & 9) for guests needing access to restrooms and water fountains

In addition, we encourage you to take the following precautions:

  • Drink plenty of water, and don't wait until you are thirsty to drink

  • Wear a brimmed hat and loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing

  • When feeling too warm, find a cool, shaded, well-ventilated area to rest in

  • When in the sun, wear sunscreen (at least SPF 15)

In the case of a medical, fire, or safety/security emergency while on campus, guests should call (574) 631-5555 or 911.
